I have to disagree with you guys about the Microsoft “I’m a PC” commercials. That was actually the smartest thing Microsoft could have done.

Because of Apple’s attacks against vista, doing a commercial about how great vista is wouldn’t work because the Apple ads are so popular.

Microsoft knew that it wouldn’t work, so what they did was attack the image of PC users that Apple created.

All Microsoft is trying to do is create an ad campaign that takes away some of the myth. The Seinfeld commercials failed because they were so random. The Mojave commercials failed because, well, they were just plain bad.

And about the snowboards, I think people are complaining because they don’t want their kids to crash because they were distracted. ;)

I think that Microsoft is about 10 years too late for the ads. They finally realized that it’s not 1996 and they own 90% of the market. Microsoft is very similar to the IBM of the early 80’s. They think that nothing can take them down. We’ll have to come back to this topic in a year and see what results the ads have on the market and where we will stand with Windows “7″,

As for the snowboards, there’s always a small amount of people that do most of the complaining. It’s a stupid point. When I was a kid I had scantily clad women posters in my room. The pictures are slightly more risqué than that, but just SLIGHTLY.
