There have been a few people who’ve asked if they could appear on the show and after a few weeks of thinking about it I’ve decided that it’s a good idea.

If you want to be a guest co-host there are a few things you need to know:

1. You must be available on Friday evening from 9pm – 11pm Eastern time.  Times are flexible, just ask.  (Check out our schedule for open dates.)
2. You have a website, podcast, whatever that you do. (You will get your plugs in the show at the end.)
3. Have Skype (a USB headset is STRONGLY recommended).
4. Be able to submit 5 links to stories (current events – big or small) that interest you to talk about.  The stories must be posted between Saturday and the Friday we record the show.  (We try to avoid all tech stories – this isn’t a TWiT-styled show)  We prefer using Delicious to collect our stories.
5. Can handle language and adult situations.  (This show has an explicit label for a reason.)

That’s about it.  If you are interested in being a guest co-host in the future, just shoot an email to us at talk@averagejoeshow.com with your name, website, and your Skype name so we can talk to you.  (Trust us, there is no formal interview here!)
